Path to the bottom of the waterfall. Park your car near the uppermost opening of Mabotunnelen. Follow the old road towards the river. Turn on to the path and walk up the valley. Some of the paths leads across stone screes; remember to wear appropriate footwear and watch out for rock slides! About 1,5 hrs there and back.

Vøringfossen is the most famous waterfall. It has a vertical drop of 182 meters, with 145 meter free fall. Vøringfossen is the most visited natural tourist attraction, and can be experienced at close quarters from the top by Fossli Hotel or at the bottom of the mighty Måbødalen. In Måbødalen is a rare and beautiful flora.
