Tysso Via Ferrata - The sky ladder to Trolltunga/Preikestolen
For the 2010 season Opplev Odda will take you on a hike trough the new via ferrata route Himmelstigen to Trolltunga/Preikestolen. It’s a hike filled with impressing attractions and Norwegian history. The Ringedal lake, the Ringedal dam, Tyssebotn, Tyssestrengene, Himmelstigen, the giant marmites at the top of Tyssestrengene, and ending by Trolltunga and Preikestolen.
This is a trip to present the Norwegian tourism and hydroelectric power history within an impressive natural setting. A trip that guarantee many memorable experiences. The hike starts by the Ringedal dam. Bicycling 6 km along the lake to Tyssebotn. Then following the dried out river Tysso up to Tyssestrengene. The last 200 height meters up to the mountain plateau you will follow the new via ferrata Himmelstigen. Arriving the mountain plateau just a couple of hundred meters from Trolltunga. Tysso Via Ferrata - The ladder to heaven
For the 2010 season OpplevOdda invites you to hikes in the new Via Ferrata trail Himmelstigen (the ladder to heaven) to Trolltunga / Pulpit Rock. This is a route where the attractions lies in a row.
Ringedalsdemningen, Ringedalsvatnet, Tysse bottom, Tyssestrengene, Himmelstigen, potholes at the top of Tyssestrengene, Trolltunga and Pulpit Rock.
And with Norway's history in nearly every mountain,
the tour starts at Ringedalsdemningen. Cycling across Ringedalsvatnet to Tysse bottom. From Tysse Bottom follows the dried pipelines established during the river Tysso, passing the cave after Tyssestrengene.
The last 200 meters up to the mountain plateau is established via a ferrata trail, Himmelstigen. The tour ends in Trolltunga and Pulpit Rock.
