Trondheim Kunstmuseum, Norway's third largest public art collection, mainly in Norwegian art from ca. 1850 to today. Danish art from the beginning of last century forms the center of gravity in the collection of foreign art. The museum displays important works from the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions of Norwegian and international art.
The museum has an ideal location with Nidaros Cathedral as its nearest neighbor. Since the institution was a hub museum in 1997.
