The Centre is located alongside Trondenes church on the Trondenes peninsula, a cultural heritage landscape marked by the Viking era, middle Ages and Word War II.
Trondenes Historical Center is located 3 km outside of Harstad city in picturesque and historical surroundings. Through the museum's main exhibition with crosses and swords through 1000 years ", we show the local history from our distant past and forward to modern times. The museum is also home to around 5 exhibitions per year, with a large range.
The exhibition provides an exiting insight into the history of Harstad and Hinnøy region with emphasis on the Viking era. The story is told through a unique multimedia show, featuring vision, music, light and smell.

Mon - Fri: open exhibition 10.00 - 14.00
Sundays: open exhibition and café 11.00 - 16.00
