Granvin Tourist Office
Location: Granvin
Granvin is centrally situated in Fjord Norway by the Hardangerfjord. Tourism has always been important, and you can get to Granvin several ways by car: The route E-16 to Bergen from Oslo passes through Voss and is connected to Granvin by route 13. Route 7 from Oslo to Granvin passes the mountain area Hardangervidda, further on to Bergen along the Hardangerfjord. The city of Bergen and Flesland airport is only about 2 hours away by car, and Voss can be reached in 30 minutes. There are also bus connections to Bergen and Voss. Granvin's rich cultural traditions can be experienced in various ways. Norway 's national instrument, the Hardanger fiddle, is the symbol of Granvin municipality. Local handwork and handicraft from Hardanger can be seen and bought several places. Tourism has traditions in Granvin back to 1850. Norheimsund Tourist Office
Location: Norheimsund, Kvam
Norheimsund is the administrative and service centre in Kvam. This is the meeting point for boat routes that will take you to Utne and Odda. You can make connections for buses to Voss (route 7), or to Rosendal ( route 49). Kvam received an award for its work restoring the shore front in Norheimsund. There is a new dock for visiting boats(picture), a nicely decorated promenade along the docks and lots of parking space. The historical Sandven Hotel is a part of this shoreline. The hotel in "Swiss dragon style" architecture, its surrounding buildings and an old courthouse make a very special historical setting in the centre of town. From the town centre you can take a walk along Mo lake to the famous Steinsdalsfossen waterfall, especially well-known for its path behind the falls, or you can visit Hardanger Fartøyvernsenter, a national centre for the restoration of wooden boats.

Welcome to the rural district of Kvam in Hardanger. Kvam lies on the northwest side of the Hardangerfjord, with a beautiful view of Folgefonna, Norway's third largest glacier. The district has 8600 inhabitants. Its beautiful landscape stretches along the fjord from Strandebarm to Ålvik, a distance of 85 km. (kilometres). West towards Bergen, on route 7, is the mountain area called Kvamskogen, where you will find large clusters of cabins and four ski lifts. It is 74 km. from Bergen to Norheimsund, about a one hour drive by car or you can catch the bus that goes every hour.
If you are staying in Bergen, Kvam is your closest destination in "Fjord Norway". In the district of Kvam, there are three hotels, several guest houses, and a large number of cabins for rent along the fjord and at Kvamskogen. "Eidfjord - unique from mountain to fjord" ... Eidfjord lies innermost in the Hardangerfjord, with major parts of the Hardangervidda National Park within its municipality borders. From the fjord and steep mountains it only takes you 20 minutes up to the mountain plateau.
The area by the fjord offers wild and beautiful nature, and attractions like the Sima Power Station, Kjeåsen mountain farm, the old and new churches of Eidfjord, Gallery Nils Bergslien, Trebua and Hardangervidda Nature Centre.
The climb u8p to the plateau takes you through the wild Måbø valley. Experience 400 years of road construction, from path to modern engineering artwork. Then you arrive Vøringfossen, the most visited natural attraction in Norway through many years. Hardangervidda is now ready for you, with marked trails in a net between several tourist cabins. Ulvik is a municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. A Village of the Hardanger Fjord. Ulvik is visited by numerous foreign cruise ships in the summer.
