Thomasgaarden probably has its history back to the late 1600's, and was once home to mining and cottage workers. In the 1700s the farm was the form that is roughly preserved until today. In 1958 the artist purchased Ela Monsen farm - and it was the start of a long art adventure in the mining town.
The menu offers a selection of teas and good Italian coffee in many variations. Taste fresh farm waffles, cake and soup based on local raw materials. The gallery is unconventional and distinctive and has changing art exhibitions. Local and innovative arts are also well represented, whether for sale or exhibition. In addition, intimate concerts, theater and author nights to give Thomasgaarden soul.
A selection of products are also for sale at Thomasgaarden galleri & kaffebar. Are you interested in good art whether it's rustic ceramic or lamps in blown glass, or jewelry made of rensdyrben and silver or artistic slate mirrors, you will find a large selection here. Some of the selection can already be bought in store. In the evenings you will experience Thomasgaarden in conjunction with event with intimate concerts in jazz, folk, bluegrass & folk music.
