Rica Hotel Svolvær - situated on the docks in the city centre of Svolvær - the Capitol of Lofoten!
The hotel has a characteristic architecture, with its restaurant and bar formed like a ships bow ploughing into the rough sea. Our cosy bedrooms offer a maritime atmosphere and a warm ambience. A great number of the rooms have a view to the sea, and its own private balcony!
The Hotel is idyllically placed on the small island Lamholmen in the harbour of Svolvær, with a total capacity of 146 rooms, whereof 125 non-smoking rooms and 2 rooms designed for wheel chair users. The sea view rooms face either the "Vestfjorden" or Svolvær Docks including the port of the well-known "Hurtigruten". From the rooms facing north you may indulge yourself with the view of the majestic Lofoten Mountains, surrounded by Polar Light at winter time, bathing in the Midnight Sun during summer time.
The Bauen Restaurant (Ships Bow Restaurant) offers an excellent à la carte menu, or any bite you would prefer at request. The chefs ingredients mostly derive from local farmers and fisher men; lamb, beef, organic cheese and herbs - and of course - fish. Enjoy a superb meal, while absorbing the great view through our panorama windows. On the first floor you can treat yourself with a pre dinner cocktail or a nice cup of tea, at an even better angle!
