The camping site is also a meeting point for salmon fishermen on the Drammenselva river and here you can buy a fishing licence and hire fishing equipment and boats. Imagine life today without electricity! But it was only some 40 years ago that the fridge was a common sight in Norwegian homes! Visit Vestfossen Hydropower Museum to learn of the incredible development in the production and consumption of electric power. Intricate models and exhibitions tell the history of electricity from the start of the hydropower station in 1897 to present day. The new power station is right next door, and you can have a tour round this modern station every Sunday from 12.00 to 16.00.
