Discover the sawmill industry of Namdalen from 1947.

The sawmill museum Norsk Sagbruksmuseum, Spillum Dampsag & Høvleri is one of eleven technical and industrial heritage sites in Norway. Here the entire sawmill environment has been conserved. See the old machines and equipment used in the mill’s daily operations. This is living sawmill history and this heritage site is unique in that it still produces timber products, boards and panels for the restoration of old houses. It also makes specialist products no longer manufactured at modern sawmills.

Summer opening hours 15 June – 16 August. Mon – Sat 0900 – 1700. Sundays 1200 – 1600.

Guided tours Mon – Sat at 1200, 1400 and 1600, Sundays 1300 and 1500.
