The museum is among the region's finest museums built with its beautifully detailed interiors.
The museum has about 20 old buildings that are situated in Bergslia - right up Meldal city - with fine views over the village and surrounding mountains. There is such a trønderlån, a smallholding in 1920, a hearth and farms. Large parts of the museum's collection of artifacts originating from Eilert large private collection.
