Lillehammer Olympic Bobsleigh and Luge Track
Lillehammer Olympic Bobsleigh and Luge Track is the only artificially cooled bobsleigh and luge track in the Nordic countries. The track is 1710 m in length with a vertical drop of 114 m featuring a total of 16 curves. Maximum speed for four-man bob is 130 km/h. Now the public can enjoy this thrilling experience of speed with a choice between taxibob, bob rafting/family bob and luge. Bob rafting is a special form of bobsleigh aimed at tourists. It takes 4 - 6 passengers and the speed reaches 60 - 80 km/h. Luge is aimed at everybody above 10 years of age and offers speeds up to 70 km/h.
When the track is not frozen, visitors can race the unique wheeled bob. (Children below 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The wheeled bob resembles an ordinary bobsleigh and takes three passengers. The bob reaches speeds exceeding 100 km/h.
Come along on bobsleigh where the top speed reaches 120 km/hr and experience the feeling of 5G - Taxibob. Or a softer bob – the bobraft with a speed up to 80 km/hr. The sleigh is always steered by an authorised pilot. NEW! Skeletonraft – two and two together with the head first! Top speed reaches up to 60 km/hr. Come along on an exhilarating experience.
In addition to the bobsleigh, we have a activity park where we could offer; climbing, quad bikes, trapeze, spider net, balancing on logs, building logs together, labyrint, shooting with airguns and bow and arrow etc. As a part of the activity park, a lavvo (Sami tent) with room for up to 200 persons has also been set up, as well as a gapahuk (lean-to shelter) with room for 30 persons.
