Lillehammer Art Museum
Lillehammer Art Museum was reopened in the autumn of 1992. A new museum building facing the main square is connected with the old building. Architecturally, this is a very distinctive building containing major collections of Norwegian art from the 1820s and up to the present time. Apart from the permanent collection, the museum presents alternating exhibitions of Norwegian and international art.
Lillehammer Art Museum was voted Museum of the Year in 2008. It enjoys a central town square location. This impressive building is the work of Snøhetta architects. The permanent exhibition comprises contemporary art as well as renowned pieces forming part
of Norwegian art history. Temporary exhibitions during the 2009 – 2010 season.
Museum shop offering a wide range of Norwegian handicraft. Museum café.

Guided tours every Saturday and Sunday at 14.00. Art events Thursdays at 11.30/
