Hardangerviddahallen restaurant and café is a building of wood and stone with a historical architecture. Here you can enjoy a wonderful meal in an atmospheric room with views of majestic mountains. The restaurant has 200 seats and a large beer garden.Traditional cuisine with a modern kitchen, A la Carte, Hardanger Buffet, company's menu and catering. "Gane Speed 2006" voted restaurant of Retribution best place to eat along the way in Hordaland and Sogn & Fjordane.

The Hardangervidda Nature Centre at Eidfjord has a modern cafe featuring traditional local cuisine. The cafe serves typical Norwegian food made from local ingredients from Eidfjord and Hardangervidda. The cafe serves both as a place for visitors to eat lunch and a meeting place for the local inhabitants. Our menu features good, traditional food.

A building with a history
Built in wood and stone, the restaurant recreates the atmosphere of the rought mountain pasture and hunting cabins of the Hardangervidda mountain plateau, where milkmaids, fishermen and hunters would find shelter for the night and from bad weather. Around the fireplaces in the new building you get a real sense of camp fires and open hearths. In this historical building with its modern restaurant up to 200 guests can experience unique traditions combined with modern comfort.

Nature's everlasting gifts
Our new restaurant combines culinary traditions going back thousands of years with the always fresh ingredients of the Hardangervidda plateau and modern-day culinary expertise. Our reindeer roast and mountain trout are just two delicious examples of traditional food created through a long historical process in witch man has learned to refine the rich ingredients found in our wild and beautiful nature.
