One of the first things you notice when you enter Grong, either from Steinkjer and Snåsa in south or Namsos in east, Mt. Geitfjell is 872 m.a.s., and on top of the mountain there's a 111 meter tall TV transmitter.
In order to reach the top you can follow a marked path from south, walk on a steep road or enter from Bjørgan. During the winter Mt. Geitfjell has many possibilities for those who want to go skiing. The most natural place to start will bee Bjørgan. The view from the top is marvellous!
