Galdhøpiggen Summer Ski Centre offer a top modern ski resort with all facilities, and a spacious cafeteria seating 210 persons. Modern ski equipment available for rent. The skiing conditions during the season from May/June to mid November are among the best in the world, and the slope is well suited for Alpine, Telemark and Snowboard. The mountain is at the gateway to the beautiful Jotunheimen region.

A large number of national teams, ski associations and ski clubs in Norway and abroad choose to train here. In 2002, Galdhøpiggen Summer Ski Centre built a new t-bar ski lift, and it is Norway’s longest t-bar ski lift on a glacier (1,400 metres). The Galdhøpiggen Summer Ski Centre a single ski slope that descends the Juvbreen glacier located near to the Juvasshytta lodge. The ski run is also in close proximity to the summit of Galdhøpiggen. Also offer overnight accommodation [Juvasshytta (lodge)] at two sites directly linked to the Galdhøpiggen Summer Ski Centre.

Summer skiing

Galdhøpiggen Summer Ski Centre lies at 1,850 metres, at the foot of Northern Europe's highest mountain Galdhøpiggen (2469 metres). We can offer you a state-of-the art ski run with all facilities and a spacious cafeteria seating 170. Modern ski equipment for hire. In our season, which runs from June to the middle of November, we guarantee snow quality unmatched anywhere in the world. The 1500 metre slope is equally suitable for alpine, telemark and snowboard, as the large number of national teams that come to us to train will confirm.

Glacier guiding

Galdhøpiggen Summer Ski Centre is the nearest jumping-off point for Northern Europe's highest peak, Galdhøpiggen 2469 metres (Piggenfor short). You can reach the top in two hours without straining yourself. The climb demands no previous mountain training, but you must be properly clothed and shod. Our guides know the area hke the back of their hands, which is your safety guarantee. By special request we can arrange glacier crossings for larger parties. Ask us for further information. We have 22 years' experience on Galdhapiggen!
