Norwegian Aquaculture Center

Would you like to learn more about fish farming and marine life? At the Norwegian Aquaculture Center, you can learn about modern aquaculture and the environment around the aquaculture facility. We can explain fish development and the technologies that are necessary to raise the fish from an egg to a finished product of high quality. The Norwegian Aquaculture Center features underwater cameras, close contact with the sea and fish feeding under professional guidance. By prior agreement, fish may be caught and prepared on the spot. We can also prepare individual programs for groups.

Most of Norway is ocean, and utilising the resources of the sea has been, and still is, one of the most important businesses for Norwegians. Earlier the fisheries dominated, but from a modest start in the sixties, farmed salmon and trout has grown into one of Norways main export articles.
