Alvdal Museum Husatunet

Alvdal is a mountain village in northern Østerdal, 30 mil north of Oslo and 20 mil south of Trondheim.

There are good connections to Oslo and Trondheim in the RV. 3, which runs through the village and west on Highway. 29 through Folldal to Hjerkinn. Trains to Oslo Airport Gardermoen, Oslo and Trondheim (Rørosbanen). Daily bus service between Oslo and Trondheim.

The basic industry is agriculture, with emphasis on dairy and meat production. But the industrial and service industry also has great significance for the local community. There are short distances to kindergartens, schools, shops and community center.

The diversity of clubs and organizations is large and helps to create strong networks.
